Thanks to all of you who participated in the congregational conversation after the worship service on May 26. The question we asked was “What is the next thing we need to do in order to make the best use of our wonderful property — auditorium, meeting spaces, and parking lot / land?” Here is what you said:
Join us Sunday June 2 for the annual White Chapel Worship Service. We begin with lunch at 11:30 am and the worship service at 1 pm. The Rev. Phil Hobbs will officiate. This is one of the few opportunities that we have to open these historic doors for service.
Thanks to all of you who participated in the congregational conversation after the worship service on May 5. There seemed to be some lively conversation around the tables as we shared a meal together. From those conversations, these ideas emerged as “next things we need to do.”
The congregation will meet following worship on May 26 for conversation about how to be good stewards of the church property.
We gather to worship the God who wants us to love the Holy One with our whole selves – mind, heart, soul and strength. It is only as we do so that we can have a faith that is our own. It is only as we have such an authentic faith that we can be empowered by The Spirit to reflect the light of God’s love for all the world – as did Thomas – as did John Wesley – as did the “saints” of your own experience.
